What records exist for Penrith Workhouse?
I still think it's the Isabella Stockdale that I'm looking for that's in there in 1871 Census.
I have her born in Penrith 10 Jan 1842 (I have the birth certificate) to William and Deborah Stockdale. Deborah dies 25 Nov 1842. I'm still exploring where William went. I have him as deceased on one of his son's marriage certificates in 1864.
1851 Census I have Isabella Stockdale(age 8 ) and her brother John Stockdale (age 10) 'pauper inmates' in the Penrith Workhouse.
1861 Census I have Isabella Stockdale (age 21) an 'inmate' in the workhouse, working as a farm servant.
1871 Census I have Isabella 'Stogdale' (age 27) 'pauper'. It doesn't give a job but if she were the same as the previous person she'd still be an agricultural labourer.
I can't find any marriage for her, I've explored every possible Isabella in Penrith in 1881 Census. I have purchased a few Isabella Stockdale deaths that might vaguelly fit (they weren't her), including those in areas where I have her married siblings.
I'm wondering if there will be any records for Penrith Workhouse that may enlighten me to when she left the workhouse and how/why? or in fact give me any informantion on her.
Hope this makes sense.

The possible 1864 death you have has the right occupation but as you have noted age is wrong.
However if "your" Isabella is around in 1871 then the death can't be hers.
Can we find this other Isabella to confirm she was a different person?
