Title: Clarence Villas, Church Road, Moseley, Birmingham
Post by: Silmaril on Tuesday 21 January 25 21:49 GMT (UK)
Hi

Clarence Villas, Church Road, Moseley, Birmingham

I am trying to identify the above property. I have tried following the census enumerator's route around their designated area (assuming he/she wrote the addresses on the paperwork as they went along) and compared with various maps but this has not helped. Is it possible somebody out there has found this in their own researching?

Any help most welcome.
Thanks.

What timescale are you looking at?

Hi
Had a look at the censuses 1891-1911 and it's on the western side of the street south of Woodbridge Road.
Checking neighbours from 1901 and 1911 census which has numbers rather than names it is Number 118.
Just opposite the big double house 85 and  87.
There is a terrace of houses and Clarence Villas was the furthest from the Junction.

It looks quite nice.

Excellent, thank you so much for this.
Yes, it does look quite nice. The person of interest was Stephen Bird, an Estate Agent.

Thanks again. Much appreciated!
