Title: Armoured car 1944-45. Southall .
Post by: frederickay on Saturday 11 January 25 19:48 GMT (UK)
My friend remembers building armoured cars in Southall 1944-45 . He has given me some notes l he says it was not the Matador . The cars had police escorts to get through streets . Wheels were five foot high . 3 inch gun on top of. His father was Cedric Newmarch but he doesn’t know if Cedric was a mechanic or a pilot , as per his notes . Is there any one here that knows which vechile was built 1944-45 . I am happy to share notes . Fred .

The last of Shaun's refs does say that this vehicle

'The armoured car based on the Matador artillery chassis......'

So it might have used other components that the company had expertise in producing.
