I have been patiently waiting for the 2023 deaths to be included and  have now ordered the one I was hoping to confirm so that I can finally know a bit more.

Wonder if this will make it any easier for FindMyPast to unredact entries in the 1939 register?

I've just been in to order a download of a 2023 death cert but I'm only offered the pdf version. Have others had this lack of choice?

I ordered yesterday and the only option (which I expected) was a full certificate at £12.50.
At a guess I'd say that your .pdf was some sort of error in the database? Did you order it? It would be interesting to know if you actually get it :-)

I've just tried again and they're now only offering the full cert!

It must have been a glitch or tired eyes  :-\

GRO don't have any images for birth/death entries that recent because the returns are all done digitally - so only paper certificates are available.
