Hello,
I have located a record for John Schonbeck under 'Interment of Enemy Aliens During 1914-1918 War Classifed List' however, there doesn't seem to be much information under the record itself?
It notes him under Class 7, does anyone know what this means?
Would he have just been monitored? or would he have been interred somewhere?
Any help would be amazing! and Happ Holidays! :)

I think that dataset title should read Internment rather than Interment

See this definition of Class 7 (London) on image 35:

Thank you for that!
As he is only listed on this record do you think it is more than likely he was just 'monitored' or possibly interned?

FindMyPast's description (https://www.findmypast.co.uk/discover/military-armed-forces-and-conflict/government/britain-enemy-aliens-and-internees-first-and-second-world-wars-browse) of the collection provides a slightly different explanation of Class 7:
Classes 5 and 7 were also Germans in London and who were separated by the number of years they lived in the city and their age when they first arrived in London. The files list individuals separately with their address, spouse's name, and occupation.

I don’t know if you have seen this? It is my understanding that you can write to inquire whether your rellie(s) were interned there.
