Title: Cause of death in 1864
Post by: James Griffin on Monday 23 December 24 14:33 GMT (UK)
Yet another document I'm stumped by. I've tried everything but I just can't make out this cause of death from 1864.
I've come across thousands of causes of death researching the family tree but nothing comes to mind when looking at this one.
It looks like it's one word and possibly lasted 3 or 5 weeks.
Hoping, as always, someone out there comes up with the light-bulb moment!
Many thanks/

James

Puerperal Fever = fever caused by uterine infection following childbirth.

Margow - many thanks for that. Wasn't expecting it quite so quickly!
I've come across Puerperal fever many times (as you'd imagine) in my researching but I just couldn't see it on this document.
As I said, I thought it was one word only!
The more I look at it now the clearer it becomes.
Thanks again, take care & Merry Christmas!

James
