Grateful for restoration of a photo of Uncle Albert James (Boysie) Smith. Appreciating it is not of the best quality but it’s all I have.
Boysie died in a motorcycle accident in April 1937 near Catterick Camp aged 17.
His remains were taken to Elgin, Morayshire, his birthplace where he was buried, I think on 16th April 1937.
Apart from knowing his age on death and that he was a dispatch rider in the Royal Signals, I’ve no other information about him and would welcome anything at all which RC’s can track down.
Regards
Stuart

Newspaper reports of the accident and subsequent inquest consistently name him as Albert James Smith (not James Albert).

Thanks to you both. I’ve asked the moderator to move my request and corrected my Uncle’s name. Must try harder!

Slightly better, note the net curtain in background on right hand side probably indicating it was taken indoors.
