I have been trying to locate maps showing where my mum lived as a child growing up in Liverpool. Mum was been in 1914, the address I have is 4 Bartholomew Place, Roscoe St, Liverpool.
I have been to Liverpool’s Central Library and although they have maps around 1910 showing Roscoe St, I can’t find Bartholomew Place.
Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.

Have you looked at the Goad fire insurance maps?

Thank you for this information, Shaun.
I will now that you have mentioned it.

Bartholomew Place was near the south end of Roscoe Street and St. Mark's Church. It is shown near the top edge of a large scale plan surveyed 1847:

The next large scale plan surveyed 1890 shows it had been officially renamed as Court 10:

These names are not shown on the 1908 edition which is at a smaller scale:

The most recent newspaper reference to Bartholomew Place that I can see is in 1904 (Mrs Realdon, at number 2, seeking work washing and cleaning).
However there are families at numbers 4 and 6 in the 1921 census. The family at number 4 is called Matson.
