Happy happy Christmas to all … I am looking for some help please ..
I am looking for two siblings
George Gorman … 20 MAR 1903 • Bethal Green
William GORMAN 17 NOV 1905 • Bethnal Green
Parents are John GORMAN and Eliza WALKER.
I am looking to see if either of the siblings have married and ended up in Norfolk … I have traced William to 1939 in Hackney living with his brother ( Joseph) and his family , but nothing on George….
Any help is appreciated . Thank you :)

Where is George on the 1921 census?
If William was unmarried in 1939 have you looked for a marriage/death from 1939 onwards?
-
I can’t find him :( ( George in 1921 )

The parents of these 2 boys are (James)JOSEPH Gorman and Eliza Walker, married jq 1896. By 1901 parents are with 2 daughters Annie 1896 & Eliza E 1901. By 1911 the 2 boys are in a school in St Charles School, Weald Road Brentwood Essex, South Weald, Essex, England.
SS
added, 1921 are Eliza, Annie, Eliza, & William--mother a widow, no George.

St Charles' School would appear to have been an orphanage for Roman Catholic Boys. ( R C baptisms for George and William can be found on FindMyPast).

There is a possible death for father Joseph Gorman in Bethnal Green, Apr - Jun 1906, age 34.

Thank you . I have noticed the lads being placed in and out of union workhouses too . Did they marry ? Thank you

Why are you thinking of a Norfolk connection. I've a suspicion that William died in 1970 Hammersmith.

Have you considered this death for George.
GORMAN, GEORGE aged 26

George definitely had no middle name? Too many others to consider as DOB often not given. For example, there is a GA Gorman in the Royal Engineers in 1939.

Hi,
Try looking at George GOODMAN age:18 b.Bethnal Green, at Bridge Training Home, Witham, Essex. I think the image looks more like GORMAN.

Daisy
