HI,
I have a query regarding the baptism of a daughter of John Clark and his wife Sarah Ann in Heybridge.
There appear to be two entries as below:
Sarah Ann Beadle Clark bn 20 Apr 1836 bap 8 May 1836
Sarah Ann West Clark bn 21 Apr 1837 bap 29 Oct 1837
both appear to have the same parents.
Can someone who can see the original entries please let me know if this is the case.
I can find no burial for the first Sarah Ann Clark.
I was wondering if the second entry is an admission to the church after a private baptism and the date of birth is a year (and a day!) out?
Any additional information from the entries in the register would be helpful.
Thanks for reading.

Thank you for pointing me in the direction of the BTs. They will be very useful!

The family is on the 1841 census
Piece number 1776, Folio 452, Page 23
As well as Sarah Ann, there is a Mary Ann, 1 year younger, Could the later of the two baptisms for SA be an error by the vicar and it should be Mary Ann, but he wrote the mother's forename in error. I can't find a baptism for a Mary Ann.

Fs has image of BT for marriage of John Clark and Sarah Ann Beadle

One witness has Clark surname, the other is Mary WEST. If bride and groom chose a witness each, then Mary may be related to Sarah.

Thank you, some very interesting comments. I hadn't thought of the error in the register. This would make sense as I also can't find Mary Ann's baptism. It would also explain why she is not in the GRO (I had her birth as 1838 but April 1837 would be before registration)
I hadn't noticed Mary West as a witness to the marriage of John and Sarah Ann Beadle. Thank you!
