Title: Burials Rossinver area
Post by: pat77 on Sunday 08 December 24 18:31 GMT (UK)
I have the gravestone for my great grandfather Peter Harte 1838-1904 born Cooladonnel and died at Raheelin, Kiltyclogher. also on the stone is his son, my grandfather Patrick Harte 1885-1959 and his wife Margaret. what i have never been able to find out is where they buried my great grandmother Mary Harte (Rooney) who didn't die until 1936. They don't have her name on the stone so where did they put her ? even if people didn't have money for a headstone there must be a record of burials somewhere . Anyone any ideas? Also, there is no sign of Peter's parents Michael Harte 1808-1898 and his wife Kate(catherine) 1813-1903

Unfortunately, that is not at all so. Most Irish graveyards have no records. There are usually records for municipal / county council owned cemeteries.
