I am hoping someone can help in finding what happened to Jean Russell Calder, who was born in Townsville, Queensland, Australia on 3rd June 1924. What I have found so far in my search is; (a) - She met and married an US Soldier, Samuel Arthur Squires on 10th March 1944 in the Townsville Presbyterian Church, Queensland, Australia. His best man was a Lt. Sprafke, friend of the groom. Following a brief honeymoon, Samuel moved back to his unit in New Guinea.
(b) - I found a Honorably Discharge Form for Samuel Arthur Squires, Serial No. 2661 dated May 31, 1945, with Jean listed as his wife and they were living at 1930 East Main Street, Waterbury, New Haven, Connecticut.
(c) - Samuel's parents were Samuel Bryant Squires and Myrtle Edna Hayes
(d) - I found where Samuel migrated to São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil in 1955 but no mention of Jean being with him. Certificate Number 2020280, Registration Number 461066.
(e) - I found where Samuel died on 19 September 1995 in Volusia, Florida, United States.
I have been unable to find any further details regarding Jean. Did they have children? Did they divorce? if so , did she re-marry. When did she die?. What happened to Jean?
Hoping someone can assist in finding Jean.

Thanks very much Amondg for you assistance in filling in some gaps I had in the Calder family Line. Jean was the last one with question marks about how it all worked out in the US. Seems like she had a good life.
Thanks again.

1945 Waterbury, Connecticut city directory
Squires, Jean C. Mrs., clerk 81 W. Main, resides (220) 380 W. Main
Squires, Samuel A. (Jean C.) in US Army, home (220) 380 W. Main
There are newspaper ads from Daytona Beach, Florida from 1993 and 1994 that are thanking hospice volunteers and Samuel A. & Jean Squires are among the many names listed.
In case it helps, Jean died in Richmond per the Virginia death index, and the Social Security death index says her last residence was Moseley, Chesterfield Co., Virginia and her Social Security number was issued in Connecticut before 1951.
