My printer suddenly won't scan images!
I often have to do Artwork, on real paper, and scan it before forwarding the image to various places / people. A few weeks ago, I had such dreadful trouble we took my pc to good, trusted local firm, and they replaced my hard drive.
All was re-connected up again, working well. I could print on my Canon MG3650S printer from pictures and documents saved. I usually put short term keeping images from Artwork into scans until I've sent them out, and got responses, attached to e-mails.
But when I try now, it seems okay, the scan thingy shows up, I select colour or b&w, and preview it, trimming it down....
Then I ask it to scan. I can just see that the light is passing across, where the artwork is, and then it seems to be done - but I try to view it, and .... nothing happens. At all.
(Thisa may or may not be relevant, but a message about "Adobe Acrobat" - whatever that is, "unable to install", keeps flashing up some times. Is there any connection?)
I don't really know how, or who to ask for help, much less sort it out... any ideas?
TY

You may need to check your scan settings. It's possible that it is now trying to scan and save the file as a PDF rather than as an image file (jpg).

Hi, I would do as R J Paton suggests and check settings.
However you don’t say what operating system you are using and if you have installed any updates recently.
Microsoft have had some recent issues with scanners.

You probably need to reinstall the printer driver.

Oh dear - thanks, it all sounds very sensible and likely, but I'm now baffled how to go about it. Gulp!
Thank you. I've no idea how to check settings install/uninstall, but - yes, it's windows, and I've had a new hard drive fitted. Save my images as jpegs. Oddly I can't seem to open documents filed, either, I found out today.
Thank you all for your good advice.
