Title: Seychelles picture?
Post by: jksdelver on Monday 02 December 24 20:03 GMT (UK)
We think the I picture was taken in Seychelles during WW2

If so is it possible to identify it, where it was actually taken ?

It could be La Digue, but I wouldn't be sure

Had a Quick Look. Certainly the rock formations look similar. If the Royal Navy/merchant navy were likely to call in there then that’s another clue

Thanks again

Not on La Digue I imagine but certainly at the capital, Victoria on Mahé. A outing to the other islands quite likely from there.

Thank you. I have sent a email to the Seychelles Library

Also another couple where the sailors are with a priest. I am presuming he would be a local one

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I will let you know how I get on.

Much easier to ask a question if you have possibilities.
