Hello
I am struggling to find any info on 4 children (Rawlings by name) who, in 1921, are resident in the St Mary's Road Children's Home.
I cannot find their birth records or any of them in 1911. I am hoping that there are some admission record or the like available somewhere?
Any help much appreciated

The address on the 1921 is Parish of Portsmouth Children's Home, 138 St Mary's Road, Portsmouth, I believe it was added on to the workhouse.
Rosie99, that Chandler one looks very possible, I will investigate them.
Huge thanks

The only Chandler/Rawlings marriage was 1903 in Islington & that family can be found on the 1911 but no daughter Olive
2 things - Rawlings may have been previously married in which case any marriage to Chandler would be under her previous married name but Chandler births would show her true maiden name
Why were the children in the childrens home under Rawlings if Esther & David were Chandler?

Longshot
There is a David Rawlings on the 1939 register in Cornwall whose birthdate matches a June 1911 birth reg. There is no David Rawlings birth reg in any qtr 1910-1912

On that link under records it indicates that Portsmouth History Centre has a register of children 1901-47. Could they be the childrens home entries. It also mentions that FindMyPast have admission and discharge records that are over 100 years old, could they include the childrens home

Thank you Rosie, I have checked those available on FindMyPast, without success. I live in Lancashire so don't have access to the Portsmouth records office.
I have now seen the birth certs for Olive, David and Esther and they all have the same mother. She is Amelia Chandler formerly Rawlings who died in 1917 at the age of 37 in Basingstoke so am happy that this is the right family. These families are all travellers so there have been many name changes and non-marriages along the way!
Thank you all for your massive help as I now have enough to proceed further.

I am pleased that we have found the right childrens births, I can't see one for Thomas in Alton RD.
At least you can progress a bit more with it now :)
