Title: Missing wills
Post by: David Boulding on Sunday 17 November 24 17:03 GMT (UK)
I'm not exactly a beginner but I am missing a few Kent wills (or admons) which I feel ought to exist. I have searched all published lists but return a blank each time.

These are:

Thomas Boulding 1592 - 1663 of Crundale Kent miller (Nothing found - but he had property)
Thomas Boulding 1690 - 1767 of Crundale lbr buried Boughton Aluph (nothing found - too poor?)
Charles Boulding 1738 - 1806 of Smeeth (maybe too poor to leave any documentation?)
William Foord 1619 - 1681 of Sellindge "householder" (nothing found)

Places I have searched:

Findmypast
Index of Probate Accounts
The PROB11 at PRO
Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury Act Books, 1630-1728 Canterbury Cathedral Library and Archives class PRC43/6-9

Thanks for that. I'll have to get access to a Family Search centre to gain access. The chart of what's where is very useful and shows gaps.

I thought they might be viewable at home. If not, I might be able to look for you, especially if you guide me where to look. It has been a while since I have looked for English wills and administrations.
