1841 census address Church Street, North Side, Tamworth, Staffordshire age 1 with her parents
1851 census address 51 Gungate Street Tamworth, Staffordshire age 11 with widowed father Thomas
1861 census address 47, Gungate Street, Tamworth, Staffordshire age 21 living with Uncle Benjamin & Aunt Ann Allsop
1871 census 4 Albert Road, Bolehall & Glascote, Tamworth, Warwickshire age 29 living with Uncle Benjamin Allsopp Widower
Ann married Tom Coaton 1 June 1884 Barton upon Trent.
I can't find her in the 1881 census. Can anyone help please.
Thanks Dinkey

Her marriage was in the name of Ann Tugby, widow, and she was living at Litchfield Street, Burton on Trent at the time
-
I cannot find the marriage but a John Tugby 36 died in Burton upon Trent in 1883, clearly after Ann stated as widow, so maybe something was amiss with the marriage. If he was the husband?

If Mr Tugby d 1883, why is her being a widow a year later an oddity?
-
Because I misread the post and I assumed incorrectly it referred to the census not the marriage record.
However still unable to find ant marriage for Ann Bennett to a Tugby?
