Evening everyone.
Looking for a William Evans, a butcher of Morriston. Baptised in 1815 to Evan Evans and Esther Morris. He married Hannah Thomas in 1842 also at Llangyfelach.
1841 - Mynydd Garnlwyd (Llangyfelach), a sawyer
1851 - Old Clyndu (Llangyfelach), a sawyer
1861 - Mynydd Garnlwyd, butcher with two acres of land
1871 - Mynydd Garnlwyd, butcher, widow
1881 - ???
1891 - Mynydd Garnlwyd, butcher, lodging with son William.
Struggling to find him in 1881 for some reason. Also, struggling with a burial. Any help greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
David.

I have pondered over your question for a few minutes then searched myself. I see your predicament. Having exprienced this myself here are my tips. I know this is long shot but......
1)Have you searched for all his children in 1881 census? He could be with one of them.
2)A quick search of the address in FindMyPast was a no show but... the area is also known as Clase and the street still exists. You could search for addresses in Clase, the address could have been spelt wrongly.
Good luck
