Title: Japanese Heritage - Wakayama
Post by: hctwins on Friday 01 November 24 15:53 GMT (UK)
My great great grandfather Josuke Nishi’s last known address in 1924 was in Ryūmon-mura, Kokawa, Kokawacho, Nagagun, Wakayama-ken, Japan.  His father was Sozaemon Nishi.  I’ve never been to Japan and can’t read or write Japanese, but am interested if anyone either knows how to take the Nishi line up farther than around 1830 or has been to Wakayama and can tell me what it’s like?
I’d love to learn more about my ancestors and how they lived.

Haven't done any research into Japanese ancestry although both my father and his father spent time there and I've a second cousin living in Kyoto for about 50 years but using Google is very easy to search for information, photos, etc. on Wakayama. Here's one result-
