Benjamin Newton and Susanna Gladnish(??) Newton would be my guesses.

I too read the same, but think that Susanna's middle name 'may' be Gladwish

There's a marriage of a Susannah Gladwish Dempsey to a Benjamin Newton in Elham, Kent Q4 1878
(though the date of the cert we are looking at isn't mentioned in the post so I may be way out)

Thanks everyone. The marriage was in Jan 1881 in Walmer, Kent so that lines up with the witnesses marriage.

The middle name is possibly Gladiola with poor 'a' at the end or an extra 'h'.
