Title: Thomas Smith circa 1901
Post by: RodEast on Saturday 19 October 24 15:31 BST (UK)
Can anyone help?  I have the marriage certificate of Thomas Smith and Ellen Dines married on 22 October 1923 in Wiltshire on which the writing is not easy to read.  It appears that Thomas may be in the Royal Air Force'. His father is James his occupation being Rigger (Docks)..  Thomas nd Ellen had a number of children: Edith -Dec 1923 Wiltshire, John Thomas Dec 1924 Sussex, Ella Sep 1927 Ashford, Rowland James 1937 Liverpool, Donald Stanly April 1939 Liverpool. I do have much information on the Dines family. I would welcome some help in finding his birth and the name of his mother and any other information there may be.  I know this may be a long shot but I live in hope.
Thankyou in advance

Have you looked for him on the 1939 register to establish his full birthdate?

That type of info cannot be given here as Rootschat do not allow publication of 1939 info that is only available via subscription

If he died after 1969 his full birthdate will be on his death reg

Any actual age shown on the marriage cert?

Ellen S Smith at this address in 1939. Looks as though Thomas's parents could be James & Elizabeth.

Absolute fantastic information and help from all who have given me their time and effort without which I would have not been able to move on.  Living in hope has been far exceeded for which I am truly greatful.
Many thanks
