Hi all
I am looking for any information on the burial plot number for st Leonard’s old langho for the Marshall family..
Elsie and Andrew Marshall gassed there 3 daughters Sandra Moira and Yvonne in old langho wrote a letter to their grandmother and others before going to Blackpool and being found tied together in the sea..
This all took place in 1957 have lots and lots of newspaper cuttings related to this and about their burial but sadly no plot number ..
Can anyone tell me if this is a big churchyard to go and search they aren’t listed on grave sites well the ones I have searched..
Thanks
Angela

Such a sorrowfull tale!
The area where this happened make contact with the council responsible for burials/cremations.
Give all the relevant information you have.
You should be told of at least the location of the burial site.

There is a photograph of St Leonards here on the Lancs OPC site;
https://www.lan-opc.org.uk/Langho/stleonard/index.html
This church replaced an older St Leonards in Langho.
Unfortunately, burials are only listed here up to 1901. But why not contact the church and ask them?

If you tab down the page - there are a couple of telephone numbers. Good Luck with this.

Really sad story, Angela.
It's actually quite a late date to be buried in a church yard, unless there was a family grave there, maybe.
Langho is only a small township between Blackburn and Whalley - so I checked 'Deceased on Line' which has burials in Blackburn cemeteries - but they weren't buried there.
