What age would he be?
Was he born in either of those places or just living there?

There is a Joseph Bacon b 1878 Langdon Hills, Essex, who lived in the Plaistow area in 1921. He married Ellen Hannah Merrell in 1904. His parents were Henry William and Charlotte. He was in Essex in 1901/1911.

Thank you kindly, just discovered that Joseph married an Ellen Merrell, the parents are a bonus, so i believe that fits in nicely.
Any chance of copy of the census please ? Perhaps via PM ?.

Regards Tony.
