Has anyone else had this problem?
i used to be able to download and save a whole page as a PDF and enlarge the relevant part to view on screen
Now I only seem to save a very poor image as a png and if I enlarge it is so fuzzy as to be unreadable or if I enlarge on screen I get essentially a screenshot, so not full article if it goes over several columns
Any suggestions as to how I can save a full page?

It works OK for me but additionally I take a screenshot of the article I want.
Having a 4k monitor does help in the quality of the screenshot.

i have a good monitor, but I don't seem to have a download button any more. I have the highest level of FindMyPast sub
these are all the available buttons

If you press ‘clip’ there is an option to clip the whole page and download it :)
-
Just had a quick try: what worked for me was ‘Clip’, then select the full page option, then click on the download icon. The image was saved as a jpg not a pdf but the resolution was fine.
-
Thank you both . I will try that.
To me the word "Clip" means you want to cut out a small piece - but that is my (probably Old fashioned) understanding of the English language.
I had sent a message about the problem to FindMyPast - but no answer of course

Would it be possible to 'snip' the article using the snipping tool on your computer - or would the snipped image be too small maybe.
-
tried that - snip much too small. The article is a detailed report of a flower show from 30 years ago and takes up about half a page of a broadsheet local paper.
-
Oh yes -- the snip would be too small -- sorry.
-
When you select Snip there is an option to Snip the whole page.
I have just tried it on my iPad and it did produce an image ofbthe whole page.
The page is a bit blurred but still readable.

There is a glitch sometimes with the newspapers on there which makes them blurry when downloading for some reason. I have found that when saving a clip, including the full page, if the file name is 'default' then it will not save properly.
If this happens, then duplicate tab (by right clicking on the top of the open tab and choosing 'Duplicate Tab') and refresh or go back to search results and go back into the newspaper image again and the file clip should save clearly with the name and date of the newspaper as the file save name.
