Good morning,
Could someone help me find the birth and the baptism record of Joseph Nyislow Nyida please? All I know is that he was born on March 25th 1907 (according to hi tombstone) in Hungary. He is the son of Paul Nyida and Elizabeth Malarik.
His tombstone on BillionGraves:

His marriage record in Nova Scotia, Canada:

Joseph naturalised in 1938,
https://central.bac-lac.gc.ca/.item/?id=1938-10-12_0861&op=pdf&app=naturalization19151936
He arrived on the Pennland in 1930:

This record gives a place where he is from and where his father is living that might be "Kestoloz" (Kesztölc?). His passport was issued in Esztergom. He had a sister in Nova Scotia, Mrs Rosy Fasang? (Farsang in 1931 - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6R39-9SW9)

- here I think is his birth in Kesztölc. He is entry 21. His father's first name is Gál in this record.

Hi jorose,
Thank you for finding his birth record, it is really appreciated. I am only missing his baptism record which doesn't appear to be available on FamilySearch.
Best regards,
Martin

Hi Martin,
Paul Nyida and Elizabeth Malarik were my great, great grandparents.
Jorose mentioned Rose Fasang—my great grandmother. I have a record of her baptism which lists both Paul and Elizabeth as Rose's parents—indeed from Kesztölc, as Jorose found. Things begin to get a little confusing with this Joseph individual; Rose's husband was also named Joseph, so distinguishing between her husband and her younger brother(?) in my records is difficult.
In any case, I have some documents (from as far back as the late 1800's) which detail information about my family. I haven't yet translated them all to English from their original Hungarian and French. I'd be happy to share any additional information I can find if it proves relevant.
I'm curious about your relationship with Joseph—are you related to him?
Kind regards,
S. Fasang

Hi S. Fasang,
Thank you for your reply. Joseph is not my ancestor, but he is my great-great-granduncle. He married Marie Goaziou, my great-great-grandfather's sister.
For that reason, I would only be interested in the record of his baptism if you have it or can find it.
Best regards,
Martin
