Hi everyone,
As the St Nicholas, Newbury baptism registers are not available online I am hoping for a lookup for any additional info in the baptism entry of:
1802 Benjamin Trayler SAVAGE/SAVIDGE
I have found him in 2 online indexes - one mistranscribed as Benjamin TRAYLER and listing only mother: Harriot.
His parents married in 1798 and his father died about 1824.
I understand the registers are in bad condition so this may be why a father was not listed in the index.
If anyone is able to help it would be much appreciated.
Regards, Tawyn

Hi tawny,
The Berks FHS recently released their 4th edition CD of Berks Baptisms and I can see there is an entry as;
Newbury St.Nicholas;
bapt. - 12-9-1802 Benjamin Trayler , born 5-8 s/o W.Savage & Harriott .
With regard to burials, I can only see a burial as;
9-5-1834 Newbury St.Nicholas as William Savage, aged 80.
Nothing for 1824
Where did they marry?

Thanks for your quick response Alan.
William & Harriett married in Westminister London 1798 & moved to Lambeth Surrey some time after their 2 sons were born in Newbury in 1802 & about 1806. They do not appear in Toomers 1815 Newbury census.
William died in Lambeth Surrey in 1824 (I've found 2 possible burials in 1824).
The burial in 1834 at Newbury could possibly be my William's father or may just be a coincidence.
