Hi All
Do you think the two men in the lower photo are two of the men in the upper (not wearing headgear).
Or at least the man on the left being the man sitting with the bottle of Johnnie Walker.

No & no.

I think the man with the whisky bottle is the same as the man on the left. His hair is exactly the same, and the space between his eyebrows looks identical too.
Not sure about the other man but I don’t see why not.

I'm with you Primrose.
The man with the whisky bottle could be the one on the left in the other picture. His features look pretty similar.
I can't see that the other two by the truck look like the other man in the other photos though. They look older than he should be.

Thanks for the replies. Just a bit of detail to go with the photos.
The first is a clip from an image in IWM website, and a couple of books and is the Crew of a Valentine tank of the "C" Squadron of one of the 6th Armoured Division's regiments near Bou Arada in Jan 1943. The second is a postcard of my dad (on the left) and his friend taken in Italy in 1943/4.
My dad served in as a gunner in tanks of 72 ATR in 6th Armoured Div and was in Africa in Jan1943.
Additionally his favourite tipple? Johnnie Walker red label:)

Hard to tell due to lack of detail in the first photo. Hairline looks different to me - more receding in the whisky photo, but “comb over” might have been employed for the formal photo, so possibly the same man.
