I'm looking for any family history information on this man who died in Victoria, BC on 23rd February 2009.
In particular a photgraph of the man himself, or of his headstone, would be fantastic.
This is for a WW2 book I am writing. Orginally from Aberdeen, Scotland, Hamish was POW in Germany and went on to become one of the leading figures in post-war Scottish, and then Canadian, legal circles.
See obituary https://www.mccallgardens.com/obituaries/the-honourable-james-john-hamish-gow/ (https://www.mccallgardens.com/obituaries/the-honourable-james-john-hamish-gow/)
Any help or pointers greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance.

You can use Scotlands People to look up his birth. His birth cert will give his parents names & mothers maiden name which will enable you to research his ancestry
If he married in Scotland - you can use the same site to get details
