If any one is going to the Wellington Archives would it possible to photograph the section for a
John Robert MOYLE.
Am hoping it has full birthdate for him as he does not appear to be registered on BDM . The years that appear on information ranges from 1874-1876 born in Napier.
Have tried the full stop in family and mother's name on BDM, different years etc, nothing.
No hurry for this.

I presume you have found this BDMH entry and it is not of interest?
1874/44539, MOYLE, John, Emma, Stephen Nelson
However although I can't find it on the website I also had a note of
1874/09568, MOYLE, John, , ,
I don't have the Births Microfiche at hand to cross-check location.

Thank you Spades.
The 2nd one is probably his older brother Joseph, Selina would be still a widow at that stage and probably could not care for them. She did not have family in NZ.

You're welcome, KT :)
Those Industrial School Registers are sad reading. So many children in state care because their parents couldn't or chose not to keep them. Many were in such care for years.

Yes it is sad, Selina would had to look after the two boys as she was widowed in her early twenty's, there would be no benefits to live on and would have to find work to survive .
