slippery ford has also been called slithersford, Slyderryford and slydesford, does anyone know the story behind this slippery little place in the parish of Keighley

There was a ford at the bottom of the hill, it was slippy to get down to the ford

I appreciate your help, but have found out roughly where and yes, it was a slippery area near a ford.

Actually it called "Far Slippery beck" on' Slippery Ford lane'
On the top margin left of this old map, you'll see 'Keighley Division' printed in the top margin, look down about 2 " down in the map you'll see 'Far Slippery Ford'-then below that ' Near Slippery Ford' and 'Morkin Bridge'
