If you are looking for living descendants - Rootschat does not allow those details to be published in order to protect peoples privacy
You haven't given any details of when or who Gladys married apart from her married surname being Bell.
You say "both seem to have died in Auckland" so when did Gladys die? Have you looked for an obit notice to see if any children are mentioned?

Firstly wasn't sure if her hubby's name but he was Scottish, she died 1976 I think, found out Gladys only had 1 child who's since died but 3 living grandchildren,as for my great aunt Lucy, have yet to find her descendants or anyone that knew her personally, respectfully if there is a indictor of living descendants from Lucy I'd like to know where they exist without details so i myself may attempt contact outside of rootschat with them, understandably connecting with them would better enable me to understand my family's past a little more

It may be better if you post this on the New Zealand board unless you think they could be living elsewhere. The moderators will move it for you, just use the report to moderator tab in the bottom right hand corner of your post

hiya i'd prefer it to stay her as any of lucy or her sister's descendants unknown to me may as well be living abroad , it is a possibility that can't be outruled, moving it to a nz board may greatly limit any possible descandants from seeing it

Lucy junior was engaged to a US marine in 1943

Did the marriage go ahead? If so, Have you found her in the USA in 1950 census?

It will come up on a google search which ever board it is posted on ;D

Actually not always true , stuff on my own great grandfather usually comes up on papers past also its doing no harm being in the common room. mckha489 had no such idea that was possible

rosie99 Actually as i only found out two days ago a daughter of Lucy segedins appears to have married an American & may be in the 1950 american census,so further proves a point, another member posted the paperspast article if such a marriage, more reason to keep it in the common room not everyone does Google searches or know of the family genealogy, Lucy's america based daughter likely has children, grandchildren that have no idea of a nz connection, not practical to put it on a nz board, also it's doing no harm or injustice to any one being in the common room

[quote author=mckha489 not my ancestor , Lucy's name was Frances lucy I've found out & was in the women's air force in ww2, doesn't seem to have gone to america or at the least married a guy called king but someone called Holden here in nz
