Post by: jamxr on Tuesday 06 August 24 06:25 BST (UK)
Can't make out underline word  Record is Assisted Immigrants into Melbourne on 'Parsee' 1854.  First two columns are 'By Whom Engaged' - 1st column is 'name ' of person (what I can't read), 2nd column is 'address'-  to Brunswick St,  3rd column 'date'- 19th.

What you have underlined in red is
"on own account"

So the person maybe paid own passage, and was not sponsored by, nor engaged to be employed by someone in Melbourne.

Your explanation is great and thank you.   I thought one word looked like account but did not make sense to me.
