Title: Eastbourne, 1941 burial James Weston b.1865
Post by: Norm Weston on Sunday 04 August 24 17:09 BST (UK)
For many years I have searched for my GGfather's death. I previously assumed it was between 1917 and 1921 because I couldn't find him on the 21 census. Now I am thinking it may have been later and he somehow slipped through the 21 net. My last known date fro him was 1917 when his military record had him living next door but one to his brother at 17 St Mary's Cottages, Old Town Eastbourne. Today I found this record on FreeBMD:-
Deaths Jun 1941
Weston    James    68    Eastbourne    2b   173
The age doesn't match up but can anybody help with this in any way?
TIA
Norm

Thank you anyway. I now realise, having his birthday 4 Jun 1865, he wasn't around for the 1939 register. I suspect that maybe one day to find him in a paupers grave somewhere.
