Title: What does this cause of death say?
Post by: sorrellk on Wednesday 17 July 24 22:25 BST (UK)
I have this digital image of a death registration from Staffordshire in 1878. The image is quite clear and the handwriting is not bad at all yet I cannot work out what the cause of death reads. I have been doing family history for 25 years, am a transcriber for Lan OPC and FreeBMD, so I'm used to reading odd handwriting and even some Latin. On top of that, I was a nurse for 30 years and I don't know what "Sevirhus Ettoi" could possibly be!

Anyone have any ideas?

Karen

You learn something new every day. Not a good way to go at all, especially back then.

Thank you, thank you! You are a lifesaver! :)
