Title: Mother's maiden name
Post by: mckha489 on Tuesday 09 July 24 01:27 BST (UK)
This record has been used in the "Fife Kalendar of Convicts" transcript on FindMyPast to record David SUTTIE's mother as Janet GIVAN
but I believe it is Janet GRANT.

I can find no Birth of David SUTTIE c 1838 to a Janet GIVAN, but I do have one to Janet GRANT (and her husband John SUTTIE)

so do others see GRANT as well?

Thanks Neale1961. I’ve got all that and his crimes and transportation. I just couldn’t quite match him up. But with you agreeing it’s GRANT I am good to go.

However…..since you’ve found those records
His sisters… I’ll post separately for them after lunch.
