Hello,
I am hoping for direction as to where I would locate a 1977 Obituary.
It is for a Dora Louise Portanova (nee Bevan) who died 21 Oct 1977 at Long Island City, Queens. Dora was buried with her husband Rocco Portanova in Long Island National Cemetery. I am hoping to find some named siblings in her obituary.
Many thanks
Sio

Thank you Sandra, would you believe I just found that a while ago.
I’m very keen to find if any of Doras siblings were listed. I know she had sisters Lillian and Mary Susan plus a brother named John B.
Thanks again for your help.

Thanks amondg.
I have the census up to 1950.
To date I now have Lillian married a Hubert Glover and lived in New York. No idea if Mary Susan or Susie as she was later known married.
It’s possible John may have died in a sleding accident in Glen Cove in 1920.
These ancestry trails are never ending😀

There are passport applications for James that mention daughters Mary Susan - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QKDF-TR3Z and Dora Louise - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QV5Y-7P4K There are pictures of James, wife Lillian, and each daughter on subsequent pages, in case you haven't seen them. It looks like it says that Mary Susan was born in Nov. 1912 in Brooklyn, but I couldn't find a birth record that matched that.
