My gt-grandfather died in 1924 and was buried at St. Peter's. I understand the church was demolished in the 1970s. Is there still a churchyard? I would very much like to know if there's a headstone?

Looking at the satellite images, there is a car par there now and no sign of a grave yard.
I haven't been able to find out if any of the headstones were moved to a new location. The congregation united with St. Martin in London Road, but there is no graveyard there.

Thank you. I was so excited to find his burial (it's taken me years to find his death) and now I'm unlucky that the church is no more :(

Ancestry has a search facility for 'UK, Records of the Removal of Graves and Tombstones, 1601-2007'. I've never needed to use it but you could try. We can't look for you without a name of the deceased

Sadly he's not on the list but thanks for the suggestion; I never knew those records existed on Ancestry

Hi
Just a quick update. Burials in Worcester St Peters stopped in 1858. All burials from then were mostly at Astwood Rd Municipal Cemetary of St Johns ditto. The church itself was demolished c1970.
