Hello everyone,
I want to get a death certificate for a British lady buried in a German cemetery and not sure of the best way to go about it.
She is a civilian buried in:
Hannover Military Cemetery which is also known as
British Military Cemetery Limmer,
Seelze, Region Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany
Any help/tips would be appreciated.
Thank you :)

Have you looked to see whether the death is mentioned on the GRO overseas deaths indexes.

Hi Rosie,
-
Have you checked FindMyPast yet?
There are some 1960s death indices in Hanover.
British Armed Forces and Overseas Deaths and Burials collection

FindMyPast appear to have a database for British Nationals who died overseas 1818 - 2005. Are you prepared to give a name in case someone can find something for you.

Think I was wrong when I said the year 1963 wasn't in the period covered as I saw something saying British Army personnel and their family members up to 1965.
The details I have are

There is a record for her on FindMyPast in the GRO Service Departments Death Indices (1956 To 1965) collection.

Here's how to order Overseas records from the GRO:

Thank you, really appreciate your help.

Place/Vessel: Biel Efeld
That is a poor transcription. It should read Bielefeld, which in the 1960s was the location of Headquarters 1st (British) Corps, as well as a number of logistics organisations. Since she was a civilian, she might have been working there as a teacher, for the NAAFI (who had a big headquarters in Bielefeld) or one of the many welfare organisations such SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors and Air Force Association), Salvation Army Red Shield clubs, Toc H etc.
