Hi!
Can anyone help with the following?
I have a George Sykes marrying an Elizabeth Maycock on 31st March 1729 at Wollaston Northamptonshire.
It states that George Sykes was of this Parish (Wollaston) and Elizabeth Maycock was of the Parish of Doddington (Great Doddington?).
Cannot find any baptism records for Elizabeth at all in Northamptonshire?
Any help with her baptism or parents greatly appreciated!
Many thanks!

The parishes mentioned in marriage records are their residence immediately before the wedding, not necessarily where the bride and groom were born.
Could Elizabeth have been a widow when she married George? Marriage records a bit sparse at this time, often omitting status of the couple

Hi! Many thanks for your replies!
I have checked for Maycock marriages and cannot find any to a lady called Elizabeth.
George Sykes was baptised at Wollaston on 18th November 1704 and i believe died at Wollaston on 20th August 1786. He was the son of a Robert Sykes and his wife Katherine who were married at Wollaston.
His wife Elizabeth died on 7th January 1777 also at Wollaston.
They had the following children:
Katherine, Ann, John, James, Mary, Anne, William, Mary, Elizabeth and Eilzabeth.
I think the Elizabeth Meacock baptised at Marston ST Laurence may have been the daughter of a John and Sarah Meacock but not sure!
Thank you!
