Would any kind soul be able to help with this request please?
I am interested in both chap who served in the 24th Foot during and before the Punjab Campaign of 1848-1849.
George Neale. Private. 24th Regiment of Foot.
Service Career 1844-1862. Final Age Recorded as: Age 41 years and 1 month.
Saw Service: 3rd Regiment of Foot, 39th Regiment of Foot and 24th Regiment of Foot.
George appears as Neall on Service Papers and as Neale on 24th Foot Medal Roll 1848-9.
Born: Aldworth, Berkshire.
Would anyone be able to help Pte.2444 Henry Neale 24th Foot.
Wounded in action at Chilianwala and died 29th May 1850 confirmed on Punjab Roll. Cannot find much else out as having died his records have gone.
Was Henry Neale and George Neale Brothers?
They both served in the 24th Foot at the same time, or is it just coincidence?
Any help with Henry Neale information would be really appreciated.

FindMyPast Burials (India records - image)
Burials at Wuzeerabad
30 May 1850, Henry Neal, age 28, Private HM's 24th Regiment, Cantonments, C Hoggett, Chaplain
The date comes under "Date Died" which I think should read "Date Buried"? The column headed "When Buried" shows "Cantonments"

There is a Henry Neale bap. Aldworth Berkshire on 10 June 1821 mother Martha
Ref transcription on ancestry

George Neale bap Hampstead Norreys 22 April 1821 to William and Ann Neale.
Hampstead Norreys and Aldworth are less than 4 miles apart.
Possibly cousins.
You could try and see if William Neale had a sister Martha?
-
Both William and Martha Neale were baptised at the Baptist Chapel, Wallingford to William and Elizabeth Neale. William 31 December 1797 and Martha 30 April 1800.

There is a Henry Neale bap. Aldworth Berkshire on 10 June 1821 mother Martha
Ref transcription on ancestry
1851 census
Henry Neale b Aldworth abt 1822 with wife and child in Aldworth, lodging with Evans family
Piece number 1689, Folio 392, Page 8
So unless there are 2 Henrys b Aldworth around same time, not the Henry who died in 1850
added
Henry Neale m Martha Evans 27 May 1849 in Aldworth
Henry's father - Richard Gray deceased, Martha's father William Evans
Seems to match with the ilegitimate Henry s/o Martha
