Title: Look up required
Post by: Cragside on Saturday 08 June 24 13:28 BST (UK)
Hi all I'm looking for any military records for a  distant relative.

Alfred Benjamin Blakesley born Lambeth Aug 1917. Also lived  Norwood and Bromley.

I  know he served WW2 in the Royal Engineers  later transferring to the Signals. I seem to remember he had a  few campaign  medals  but so long ago i can't remember which ones.
Sorry that's all I've got but hopefully someone  can find some details for me.

Thanks in advance.

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is currently in the process of transferring circa 9.7 million Service records to The National Archives. The transfer is expected to complete in 2027.

More information on records that have been transferred to The National Archives.
