Title: Burial records
Post by: jolby on Saturday 01 June 24 07:21 BST (UK)
I have been searching for a death record for a while without luck but yesterday I came across, on find a grave, an entry which looked promising. There's no entry on the gro for me to buy the certificate but I can find it on the Manchester cc website  burial records. I've never bought the burial records before so I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what I could expect to find on them please? It's from 1861 and for Ellen Reynolds(s).
Thank you .

Is this the one
Ellen Reynold
Age I
Birth 1860
Death 1861
Burial date 28 April 1861
Burial place Manchester
Cemetery Manchester General
Grave number P-G

As far as I know burial records will only mention the number of burials in that grave

kgarrad - thats interseting regarding the ellis find and i can see that on the gro.

Rosie17, my ellen is 47 on the 1861 census and nowhere to be found after. i cant find the 1 year old on the gro either or a credible birth i do now wonder if its been written wrong and infact it is for an ellis .

I'm assuming that's her in 1816 census with her husband Joseph Reynolds
Ellen Reynolds ( Culbert ) born Scotland about 1814 ?

I need to go out now but will have a look later if no one else has found her by then

Is that their son, James, in the Workhouse in 1871?
If so, are there any records there?
