Dear Friends

Horsleydown86 very lindly transcribed this Will on Wednesday and now I ask one furher request if anyone can transcribe the short follow on note or perhaps its a list which is attached to the Will -
see attached file.[

The background is as follows;

1629 Will of Anne Davenport nee Homersley/Hamersley, wife of Raffe/Ralph Davenport of Lower Withington,Wheltrough, Cheshire. Her first husband was Ottwell Gardner with whom she had a son Ralph and grand children Lydia, Thomas, Jane ,Marie, Elizabeth.

I've made a start but have no more time to finish it tonight.  This will at least explain what it's about.

In this context a specialty is probably a legal instrument under seal, but these are less formal debts.

(I thought a 'debt without specialty' was an unsecured debt, or as HD says, an informal debt. But I may be wrong.)

It was really just a summary.  I had some time today to make a proper transcript, which I will post on the other thread.
