Dear Friends
Attached is the 1629 Will of Anne Davenport nee Homersley/Hamersley, wife of Raffe/Ralph Davenport of Lower Withington,Wheltrough, Cheshire. Her first husband was Ottwell Gardner with whom she had a son Ralph and grand children Lydia, Thomas, Jane ,Marie, Elizabeth.
I would be most grateful for any help with this. Thank you so much

Date: 21 December 1629
Testator: Anne Devenport of Wheltrough in the County of Chester widow
She gives all her goods chattells and cattles moveable and unmoveable to John Davenport her son to bestow what parts thereof [not clear] he thinks to make amongst some of her friends.
The residue remains to John, he discharging the funeral expenses and paying unto Raphe Gardner her son, Richard Davenport her son, and Anne Davenport her daughter twelve pence in the name of their filial Child parts and part of all her goods.
She makes John Davenport the executor and Raphe Gardner the overseer.
One witness is Edward Hollinshed. There may be another witness named Edward ok?. This is cut off at the bottom.

the Com' of Chester vid(ua) being weake in bodie but p(er)fect in sence and memorie and Doubting the [?]
tyme of my Disolucion Doe make and ordayne this my laste will and testament in mann(er) and [forme]
followinge vizt ffirst I give and bequeath my Soule to God Almightie confidentlie believing in the
meritt(es) [?] Jesus Christ to have free forgivnesse and remission of all my sinnes: And my bodie to bee [b?]
at the dispose of my Executor herein nomi(na)ted: Alsoe I give and bequeath All my good(es) Chattells and
Cattles ^Dept(es)^ movables and unmovables of what nature & quallitie soev(er) they bee in whose hand(es) & what
place soev(er) they remay(n)e to John Davenport my sonne to bestowe what p(ar)t(es) therof in [?]
hee thinketh meete among(e)st some of my frend(es): [?] And therof and residue to remayne to him
the said John hee paying and discharging my funerall expenc(es) and lykwise paying unto Raphe
Gardn(er) my sonn(e) Richard Davenport my sonne and Anne Davenport my Daughter to [any?] of them
