I am researching 22644113, Kgm J J McMahon, Kings Regiment who was wounded in Korea when his platoon commander stepped on a mine. Can anyone tell me where I might find out more about this man?
-
He was from Bolton per the casualty list. Initially reported as killed ( an error on the part of the War Office).
-
A possibility:
There is a John J McMahon birth Q2 1931 Bolton mmn Kelly; and a matching record in 1939 at 59 Hibernia Street, Bolton for a Jack McMahon 3/4/1931. His name is annotated in green ink as John Joseph.
-
Where will I find the casualty list referred to?
-
He was indeed John Joseph McMahon
Father J McMahon, 59 Hibernia Street, Bolton
