Title: Marquis of Carabas pub
Post by: Penholder on Tuesday 28 May 24 16:57 BST (UK)
I'm wondering if anyone knows where I might find a picture of this pub, which appears to no longer exist.   The address was 59, Bouverie Street.   I have tried various internet searches with no success.

What period?

In 1871, 59 Bouverie St Northampton was "The Rifle" beer house (Thomas Clark).

Looks to have been renamed Marquis of Carabas in the mid 1870s. Last newspaper reference I could find was in 1997.

Thank you for both your replies.   The year was 1939 but if the pub was still around in 1997 maybe there's hope a photo exists somewhere.
