Hi all,
I was hoping someone could please point me to where I could:
(i) find an overview of which graveyards Alfred Ridley Bax made MI surveys of (esp. in Surrey, though also Sussex if possible); and
(ii) consult full/original versions of his surveys (i.e. not just names and dates, but also ages, etc.)
I'm not a member of any societies at the moment and live abroad though occasionally return to the Surrey/London area.
Thanks to all,
richard

Thanks a million, Hepburn for the link. In part, yes, I think the Hasting MI surveys may be useful in the future, as I have Sindens that originated from there in the 18th Century.
I'm still hoping though for a breakthrough on the Surrey MIs side :)

Richard contacted me direct about Bax's surveys in Surrey. Bax bequeathed his field notebooks and the fair copies to the Library of the Surrey Archaeological Society

West Surrey Family History Society volunteers have photographed and transcribed most of Bax's notebooks. The names are included in the Surrey Name Index which is free of charge to access.
