Title: George Rowlands 3.11.1763 marriage in St.Mary, Pembrokeshire
Post by: big g on Thursday 16 May 24 15:58 BST (UK)
I need help please, have not done research in the area before, am helping a friend. The above marriage between George Rowlands and Mary Wogan took place 3rd September 1783, St. Mary, Pembrokeshire, according to hints in family tree; can anyone help in finding George's baptism records, his parentage, in fact any info would be helpful. ???

First - correct marriage entry - from parish records image on FindMyPast

13 November 1763 - St Mary, Pembroke

George Rowland and Mary Wagan, both of the parish of St Michael, married by Banns.  Both made their mark.  Witness - William Troyn ( :-\ )

Added (just noticed) - Banns published on 4, 11 and 18 October 1763.

There is also a marriage in 1765 with same witness name, so possibly a parish clerk?

Hello again,

My friend would like to know details of a marriage between George Rowlands and Ann Childs, again in Pembrokeshire, again at St. Mary; possibe parents of George who married Mary Wogan.
Hopefully.

The good thing about FindMyPast is you can purchase images of some records from them if you don’t have a sub.    :)

Pembroke St Michael is in Cosheston, while St Mary’s is actually in Pembroke. It might have been easier to reach, or family tradition.
I have family around the same time that lived in the area of St Michael and used St Mary’s.

From FreeREG:
St Mary Parish Register Haverfordwest . Pembrokeshire
19 Oct 1729
George ROWLAND . Anne CHILDS
Bride’s Parish . Haverfordwest
(No parents named)
