I am trying to trace William Forsyth Gibson born 27 July 1881 in Coldingham to David Gibson and Mary Forsyth, who wer married on 31 January 1877 also in Coldingham.
I have William F Gibson on the 1891 Census, living with his Grandfather Anderson Gibson born 1819, his parents and Anderson Jnr, Julia L, and Margaret, at Bail Strand Farm cottages, Duns rod Berwick upon Tweed.
David and May were at Hilton Cottages Whitsome in 1901 with Anderson Jnr and Margaret.
in 1911 David and Margaret are at 21 South Street Duns, with Mary Forsyth Gibson a granddaughter age 9
I believe William Forsyth Gibson must have emigrated but cannot find any trace of his movements, although in 1922 there is a William Gibson arriving in New York on "Cedric", and a William F Gibson Census in Ingram County in Michigan age 48, birth year 1882.
I wonder??

Did he go to New Zealand? There's a William Forsythe Gibson (born 1881) with a 1931 death in NZ.
Probate record on Family Search. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KDT9-TL8
He was a hotel keeper. It mentions wife named Mary Gibson.

There is a William Forsyth Gibson died in New Zealand 1931 age 50 but not much to go on.
Does the 1911 census for parents indicate he was still alive?

There's also a 1908 marriage for a WFG to a Mary Walkinshaw (which is different to the image).
-
Possibility it's the same chap because there's a New Zealand WW1 record for a WFG who is also a baker (see marriage notice snippet).
New Zealand Electoral Rolls
First name(s) William Forsyth
Last name Gibson
Electoral year 1911
Occupation/status Baker
Residence 100 Wakanui Road
Electorate Ashburton
