I hope someone can help me with an odd problem. I am using a Libre Office document, including a table for my expenses (I have been doing this for years) and it has done something odd - 2 snips attached. There is a sudden colour change, underlining, and when I try to delete, it gets crossed out instead. My technical computer knowledge is basic.

This looks relevant: it’s a link to an official LibreOffice forum
https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/how-do-you-clear-the-strikethrough-and-underlining-with-yellow-font-color-that-wont-turn-off/49590 (https://ask.libreoffice.org/t/how-do-you-clear-the-strikethrough-and-underlining-with-yellow-font-color-that-wont-turn-off/49590)
your problem seems to be caused by turning on Track Changes.

That seems to describe the problem exactly, but how did I turn on track changes? Will the forum tell me that?

I have found the forum and think I can find my way - thank you.

It looks like you are using a table in a writer document?
Looking at your images LO interprets the underlined in blue part as a hyperlink (mailto)
because the use of the @ sign.
I would use a spreadsheet for this purpose and use the columns to calculate the figures.
Track Changes
This feature is available for text documents and spreadsheet documents.
Used by authors who are working on the same text or spreadsheet, the review function records and displays who made the various changes. On the final edit of the document, it is then possible to look at each individual change and decide whether it should be accepted or rejected
To turn off Track Changes
Edit > Track Chages > Accept All
Then
Edit > Track Changes > Record (Deactivate)
Taken from LO Help file Hope this helps

Thanks - I seem to have sorted it following the instructions. Never got to grips with spreadsheets, I'm afraid - I have decided I can live without them.
